Monsanto named a Best Place To Work In Information Technology by IDG's Computerworld

St. Louis, Missouri, USA
June 17, 2013

Computerworld has named Monsanto Company one of its Best Places to Work in IT for the third year in a row. Monsanto ranks No. 25 on the 2013 list of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals.

"This honor truly reflects Monsanto's culture of innovation and the opportunities we provide so all our employees are able to embrace it," said Melissa Harper, Monsanto's vice president of global talent acquisition/diversity. "Success doesn't come from simply hiring the best and the brightest. It comes after you get them here then keep them through engaged meaningful work and the continued development of their skills."

Judges compiled the list based on a comprehensive questionnaire of a company's offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld does an extensive survey of more than 27,000 IT professionals working for U.S. headquartered companies. Editors cited that at Monsanto information technology is fully embedded into the company's everyday business as seen in the agricultural leader's first IT-driven product platform, Integrated Farming SystemsSM (IFS). IFS uses proprietary algorithms to help farmers decide which seeds to plant in which sections of their fields. Computerworld also noted the benefits Monsanto offers workers as well as the company's diversity as key reasons for the company's high ranking on the 2013 list. Monsanto employs thousands of information technology employees around the world and is always looking for talented IT professionals.  Those interested in a career with Monsanto should go to www.monsanto.com/careers.
