The Turfgrass Group announces the launch of a fully redesigned website at www.theturfgrassgroup.com . The new site has increased functionality and a complete list of all producers who are licensed and certified to grow TTG’s grasses. The site also offers tips and information for consumers looking to plant environmentally friendly, low water use grasses on their home lawns, and for professionals installing high quality turf on golf courses or sports fields.

“With the success our improved turfgrass cultivars are experiencing worldwide, it is imperative that we create a central database from which the consumer could locate a supplier in their specific geography,” said Bill Carraway, VP of Marketing for The Turfgrass Group, Inc. The company is based in Cartersville, Georgia.

“Our new Growers and Search Growers tabs will minimize the time required to locate product availability as well as a producer in a given area.  With the addition of a Google maps link, our site will even direct you to the front door of the producer,” Carrway said.

“My favorite feature is the expanded photo gallery that has been added to each of the individual variety pages.  Simply put, seeing photographs of our grasses in real life practical application, on everything from home lawns to professional sports field venues, all the research, science and marketing truly comes to life,” Carraway said.

The new website was developed by Leading Edge Communications of Franklin, Tennessee.

New functions built into the www.theturfgrassgroup .com website include:

  • USDA Growing Zone maps for each variety
