Oliver Manufacturing celebrates Office Open House on May 1st

La Junta, Colorado, USA

Oliver Manufacturing is inviting the public to celebrate a Community Open House for their new office building on Thursday, May 1st between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. It will take place at the Oliver Manufacturing facility is located in the La Junta Industrial Park at 27151 Harris Road. This public event will celebrate the growth of Oliver Manufacturing with employees, customers, agents, public officials, and the Arkansas Valley community members. Attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments and tours of the new offices and manufacturing facility.

The new office building combines the staff of the Management, Sales, Engineering, R & D and Administration departments. It will also allow for a geographic proximity between the administration and management with the manufacturing facility that Oliver has not had since 2006. It will feature an open office environment with seating for over 40 people. It will also include 3 conference rooms, a large cafeteria break room, and outdoor patio areas.

“I am honored to share Oliver Manufacturing’s success and growth with my Local, State and International Community,” said Oliver President/CEO Brian Burney. “Without the dedication of our employees, vendors and our loyal customers our new Corporate Offices would not be possible. I wish our team continued success and I will work tirelessly on keeping manufacturing strong in Colorado.”

Oliver Manufacturing was established in St. Louis, Missouri in 1930 by Oliver Steele, son of one of the developers of the first modern gravity separator. In the 1940s, disturbed by the labor violence that was plaguing St. Louis, Oliver decided to move his business to Rocky Ford, Colorado. In 1947 construction of the three large brick buildings was begun with most of the work being done by Oliver Steele and his own men. The first Oliver machine shipped from Rocky Ford in July of 1948. In 2006, Oliver moved its manufacturing plant to the former 200,000 square foot Bay Valley Foods distribution facility in the La Junta Industrial Park to take advantage of the much larger facility.
