DuPont Pioneer introduces four new canola hybrids for Western Canada

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
April 14, 2014

DuPont Pioneer is advancing new canola hybrids developed to better meet canola growers' needs. The hybrids with features ranging from built-in Clubroot and Sclerotinia resistance to early maturity are now available for trials from Pioneer sales representatives.

"These new hybrids are a step forward in our product line-up and truly offer a great combination of yield and agronomics for the grower," says Aaron Miller, DuPont Pioneer agronomist, who is also part of the evaluation team. "They're designed to help fight emerging challenges like Clubroot and Sclerotinia across Western Canada."

New hybrids are selected for their high yield potential along with good agronomic characteristics such as standability and harvestability. "The last couple years have been wet in Western Canada, so standability is even more important to growers," Miller says. "Producers can expect both high yield potential and good agronomics from these new hybrids, along with quality agronomic service from their Pioneer team."

The four new hybrids include:

  • Pioneer® hybrid 45H33 - For growers looking for superior yield potential, excellent early growth with built-in Pioneer Protector® Clubroot Resistance trait for disease protection.
  • Pioneer® hybrid 45S56 - For growers, who want a canola hybrid with the combination of standability, consistently high yield potential and the built-in Pioneer Protector® Sclerotinia Resistance trait for season long protection.
  • Pioneer® hybrid 45H76 - A canola hybrid with the Clearfield® gene for canola growers who desire superior standability and swathability along with excellent yield potential.
  • Pioneer® hybrid 43E03 - A very early maturing canola hybrid, that provides excellent swathability and superior yield.
