Washington, DC, USA
June 12, 2014

Syngenta announced today that Tyler Ring has been appointed head of North America Sugarbeet Seed business. Ring will manage the end-to-end sugarbeet seed business, assuring coordinated and aligned activities between research and development (R&D), production and supply, product management and commercial teams.

“Tyler brings depth of experience to our sugarbeet seed business—from R&D through sales,” said Dave Sippell, head, diverse field crops for Syngenta in North America. “His personal passion and deep knowledge of the industry make him the right choice to lead our business and focus on meeting our customers’ needs.”

Ring most recently led product management for the diverse field crops and cereals business at Syngenta, where he managed the unit’s product lines lifecycles. He has more than 11 years in the sugarbeet business in various commercial leadership roles including leading sales and marketing for the Hilleshög® brand sugarbeet varieties. He has also managed the sugarbeet portfolio. Prior to Syngenta, Ring worked at Cargill in various location management roles in both retail agriculture and grain operations.

Ring graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics.
