IP: Good for your heart!

Very few crops in our world can be found in our neighborhood supermarket, a farmers field and the local flower shop, but sunflowers are one of them! This versatile, vibrant crop is used in kitchens worldwide as a healthy cooking oil and perfect snack for consumers of all ages. Sunflowers are rich in vitamins and minerals, low in saturated fats and full of antioxidants, making them a great addition to any diet

However, developing sunflower varieties with all these benefits did not happen by chance. It took hard work and significant investment by developers to create sunflower seeds with lower fat content, higher nutrition and better yield potential. Learn more about this work and how IP has helped make it possible by downloading the IP In Ag Innovation Series: Sunflowers infographic.
