Mycogen Seeds introduces new soybean varieties for 2015

Mycogen Seeds is adding 14 new Mycogen® brand soybean varieties with Roundup Ready 2 Yield® technology and excellent agronomic packages to meet the needs of growers for the 2015 growing season.

Featured new soybean varieties

5B081R2 branches well and has very good standability, making it a good choice for both wide and narrow rows. This Group 0 variety has excellent emergence across all soil types and good tolerance to iron deficiency chlorosis and shattering.

5N182R2 is a taller plant with excellent standability. This late Group 1 variety features tolerance to soybean cyst nematode, brown stem rot and iron deficiency chlorosis. 5N182R2 branches well to fit across all soil types.

5N244R2 features a fuller canopy, allowing the plant to handle variable soils. As a Group 2 variety, 5N244R2 performs well from west to east with best performance on tougher ground with wide rows and conventional tillage.

5N256R2 is a mid-Group 2 variety with strong emergence. With a combination of plant height and standability, this variety works well in all row widths. Yield potential and agronomic characteristics make 5N256R2 a great option for all soil types.

5N286R2 features excellent yield potential and stress tolerance. The agronomic package of this Group 2 variety handles a wide range of environments and soil types.

5N325R2 is an attractive Group 3 variety that works well in all planting practices. Featuring strong emergence, great standability and solid agronomic characteristics, this plant fits all row widths and tillage practices.

5N343R2 is a mid-Group 3 variety featuring a tall plant type with good standability and stress tolerance. 5N343R2 works well in all row widths, planting practices and soil types and where sudden death syndrome is problematic.

5N387R2 handles stress well and has very good tolerance to sudden death syndrome. This Group 3 variety is a full plant that works well in all row widths and soil types. 5N387R2 is broadly adapted from the Midwest to the East Coast.

5N413R2 features excellent stem canker resistance. This Group 4 variety is a tall plant that works well in lighter soils and in areas where sudden death syndrome is a problem.

5N432R2 is a Group 4 variety with strong emergence for no-till and early planting. 5N432R2 works well in many soil types and all row widths. This variety has very good tolerance to phytophthora root rot.
