Novozymes joins the top 3 percentile in new Dow Jones Sustainability Index category

This year Novozymes achieved the highest score for the Chemical Industry sector in both the Climate Strategy and Environmental Policy categories.

Today, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) announced that Novozymes received 86 points out of 100 within their new category, the Chemical Industry Sector. Novozymes’ score is in the top 3 percentile of sustainability leaders in their sector.

“We are very proud of our achievement, and see this as a result of Novozymes truly prioritizing the integration of sustainability into our business,” says Mads Bodenhoff, Vice President of Novozymes' Corporate Finance.

Novozymes highest increase in scores was found in the Operational Eco-efficiency, Social and Environmental Reporting and Talent Attraction and Retention categories.

Truly good business
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is an important ranking that demonstrates commitment to sustainability to both customers and investors.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is an international sustainability ranking system that comprises the leading companies around the world, and is run by S&P Dow Jones and RobecoSAM Sustainability Investing. The survey results, which are published annually, are based on a comprehensive sustainability analysis on three overall dimensions: economic, environmental, and social as well as a number of sub-dimensions. These include corporate governance, product stewardship, operational eco-efficiency, and supply chain management, and occupational health and safety.
