Eurofins STA Laboratories (ESTA), with offices and laboratories in Gilroy, CA and Longmont, CO, announces that it will be consolidating its management and testing operations into its facility in Longmont, CO.
The closing of the Gilroy, CA facility will help the company reduce overhead and strengthen customer service to its global client base.
The company has purchased its current office, laboratory and greenhouse facilities in Longmont and is in the process of remodeling that facility and building additional greenhouses.
The management expects no disruption of service to clients that are currently using the Gilroy, CA facility for their testing as programs are transitioned to the Longmont facility.
The move is expected to be completed by February 1, 2015.
A small satellite lab will be maintained in the California central coast area to service the specialized grapevine testing that the Company provides. A program for lettuce downy mildew resistance screening will also remain at the satellite lab.
