Registrations open for the Annual Conference of the Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA)

Seward, Nebraska, USA
September 30, 2014

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) is excited to launch registrations for the 2015 IPSA Annual Conference, January 6-8, 2015. The 26th Annual event comes on the heels of the group's most successful annual meeting in history as the Association celebrated its 25th Anniversary in January 2014.  Terry Schultz with Mustang Seeds, Madison, South Dakota, serves as Chairman of the IPSA Business Development Committee, which plans this important annual event. "Each year, IPSA members rank the Annual Conference as the Association's highest priority activity, and each year the bar is set higher to maintain this conference as an industry-leading event for our members and the entire seed industry," said Schultz.

The 2015 Conference features keynote speaker Peter Zeihan, a global geo-political strategist and author of the soon to be released book The Accidental Superpower. Zeihan relies on more than a decade of intelligence expertise to ascertain why America, and more specifically American agriculture, should enjoy great success over the next generation.

A new feature at this year's conference is a Technology Field Day, and invitations are being sent to precision agriculture equipment and service providers to join this unique opportunity to visit face-to-face with decision makers among America's regional, independently-owned seed brands. The conference agenda also includes 15 breakout sessions targeting key areas of the seed industry, ranging from government affairs to sales and precision agriculture topics.

IPSA is returning to the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, the site of a very successful conference in 2013. "We are also pleased to have the participation of Syngenta's GreenLeaf Genetics team on the 'front-end' of the Annual Conference week. IPSA members have appreciated the chance to attend two key industry meetings at the same location for the last four years, and we anticipate another successful meeting in 2015," offered Greg Ruehle, CEO for the Independent Professional Seed Association.

More information can be found on the IPSA website at http://www.independentseeds.com.

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) was formed in 1989 by a group of independent seed producers who recognized the need for an organization to represent independent seed companies world-wide. The Association addresses research and biotechnology issues and increases the media presence of the industry in an increasingly competitive and dynamic business climate. IPSA represents approximately 100 seed companies from throughout the US and Canada, who produce and market a significant portion of the corn, soybeans, small grain and forage seeds planted annually.
