Agrisure Duracade and Agrisure Artesian trait confirmation testing now available from Indiana Crop Improvement Association

Lafayette, Indiana, USA
October 1, 2014

Indiana Crop Improvement Association (ICIA) has completed the required proficiency protocols set forth by the trait provider to now perform Agrisure Duracade™ and Agrisure Artesian™ trait confirmation testing. Additionally, the genetics lab has completed the migration from Isozyme Electrophoresis to Isoelectric Focusing (IEF) testing for hybrid purity analysis in corn. These improvements to the ICIA service line up reaffirm ICIA’s continuous effort to keep the needs of their customers top of mind.

“Passing these proficiencies and upgrading our technology and expertise is a representation of our efforts to provide the most comprehensive testing services to our member customers,” says Emily Dierking, ICIA Genetics Program Director. “Interested customers should be aware that these tests are available immediately.”

Liz Pestow, ICIA Marketing Director is confident that this addition will positively supplement the testing services already being offered. “It is our goal to be on the forefront of the many technologies in the marketplace and positioned to support the testing that will be needed by our members,” said Pestow. “We strive to be an extension of our customers’ quality programs and help them be successful at what they do. It is our responsibility to them that we stay current in our testing capabilities and efficient in our processes.”

Members interested in submitting samples for testing of these traits can send seed directly to the lab. Please contact the ICIA Genetics Lab for additional information.
