Perten Instruments appoints General Manager for Canada - Enhanced sales, service and support is a focus for growing customer base

Springfield, Illinois, USA
October 6, 2014

Perten Instruments announces the appointment of Michael Reimer as General Manager for Perten’s Canadian operations. Michael will be immediately tasked with opening a new office in the Winnipeg area.

Mike brings extensive experience in the food and agricultural business. He worked in both the Oilseed and Pulse Research Labs at the Canadian Grain Commission and spent four years at the Canadian International Grains Institute focusing on Canadian wheat end-use quality. More recently, he served as the Executive Director of the Manitoba Pulse Growers and then the Director of Business Development at Genome Prairie.

Mike completed a BSc in Human Nutritional Sciences, a Master of Science Degree, Food Science at the University of Manitoba, and is currently completing an MBA. The majority of Mike’s past research and experience has focused on the end-use quality characteristics of soft wheat and soybeans. In addition to work Mike enjoys time with his family, golf, power lifting, and – being a good Canadian – hockey. Mike can be reached at mreimer@perten.com and (204) 899-8301.

The Perten Instruments Group, represented in over 100 countries, provides tools for quality control and process monitoring. These tools include cutting edge Diode Array based technology, near-infrared analyzers, high frequency moisture analyzers, the Rapid Visco Analyser, laboratory mills, single kernel analyzers, Falling Number systems, and instruments that characterize dough, gluten and starch quality for the grain, flour, food and feed industries.
