RiceTec announces executive, research leadership changes

John Nelsen, global CEO of RiceTec AG of Houston, is joining the board of directors of RiceTec AG, and Mike Gumina, formerly worldwide production lead at DuPont Pioneer, will replace Nelsen as global CEO. These changes will become effective Jan. 1, 2015.
In addition, Dr. Joe Raab, formerly the global field crops breeding lead at Advanta LTD, has joined RiceTec as president of research technology solutions. Dr. Jose Re, former research director for U.S. and Brazil at RiceTec, has been promoted to global lead of new product development.
“These changes will enable the organization to continue its world leadership in the field of hybrid rice,” said Nelsen.
