BASF Farm Perspectives Study, 2014

Germany
September 9, 2014

How can we increase agricultural production, using the available resources responsibly and still meeting the demands of a growing world population? These questions and many more shape how agriculture is conducted and perceived today.

The BASF Farm Perspectives Study gives a fresh view and insights on how these issues are seen by farmers and consumers.

In this latest edition of the BASF Farm Perspectives Study, we examined farmers and consumers' perception about how agriculture is currently conducted. The focus was on topics related to sustainable agriculture, agricultural regulations, food issues, and agricultural technologies. The study was carried out in the Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Spain and the United States (US) between March and April 2014. For its realization, BASF cooperated with the global market research institute Market Probe. The study captured answers from 2,100 farmers and 7,000 consumers.
