On 28th October, 2014 The Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Henk Kamp, paid a visit to INCOTEC Japan. This visit was part of the program of the Economic Mission to Japan during which Minister Kamp hoped to increase his awareness of business collaboration between the Netherlands and Japan. INCOTEC Japan was chosen as a successful example of a Dutch company’s Japanese branch.

Minister Kamp was in the company of Mr. Hans de Boer, Chairman of the Federation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCV) and Mr. Loek Hermans, Chairman of Greenport Holland. The Economic Mission, which is taking place parallel to the State Visit of the King and Queen of the Netherlands, focuses on a number of themes including the Top Sector Horticulture & Propagation Materials and Agri&Food.

INCOTEC Japan is part of the INCOTEC group which has 13 companies operating worldwide and is market leader in the development and marketing of sustainable seed enhancements to improve the quality of seeds. INCOTEC’s products offer growers all over the world tools to increase yield and produce a more sustainable crop. These technologies optimize the seed’s condition and result in better plant development which subsequently reduces the required crop input such as plant protection products and fertilizers.

INCOTEC Japan was established in 1997. The Japanese market has been receptive to the high-tech solutions INCOTEC is offering and the company has grown steadily. Initially most of INCOTEC Japan’s business came from the vegetable sector but recently an important step forward into the rice market has been taken with the introduction of INCOTEC’s ThermoSeed disinfection as a method to free seeds from harmful pathogens.

“We are honored with the visit of Minister Kamp to INCOTEC Japan. It is a great compliment to our company that INCOTEC Japan is regarded as a good example of successful business cooperation between the Netherlands and Japan” states Tadasu Yamamoto, General Manager of INCOTEC Japan.

Minister Kamp commented that he was impressed with what the company is doing and the technology INCOTEC is offering.

INCOTEC was founded in 1968 and has been an independent company since 2002. INCOTEC's Coating and Seed Technology Companies around the world provide products and services for seed coating, pelleting, seed enhancement and analytical services for genetic analysis and quality inspection.
