In an Australian first, De Ruiter™ are pleased to bring the first Living Proof™ Tomato Innovation Day to Melbourne on 12 November 2014.
Through a hands-on, interactive experience, attendees will discover how De Ruiter’s™ proven performance, next generation technology and leading products can support and grow their own operations.
Four targeted, interactive sessions held by De Ruiter™ specialist staff and industry experts, will offer attendees solutions to optimise their individual businesses at every step of the production-to-consumer chain.
Senior Plant Pathologist with NSW Department of Primary Industries, Len Tesoriero, will run an informative 'Global trends in disease management' session, while international special guest Robbert Biemans Monsanto Holland’s Technical Development International Glasshouse Crops Specialist, will lead a detailed 'Rootstock Utilisation' session. Over lunch, Freshlogic MD Martin Kneebone will talk about trends in tomatoes, including growth drivers, volumes, values and food market settings.
Vegetable Commercial Lead for Monsanto Australia and New Zealand, Rachel Palumbo, is excited to bring the world class Tomato Innovation Day to Australia following its international success.
“We are passionate about giving protected-culture tomato and rootstock growers the tools to deliver the very best products to market,” Ms Palumbo said.
“Through sessions on rootstock utilisation, global trends in disease management and taste and sensory insights, this event will give stakeholders from around Australia access the world’s most innovative solutions and leading experts in one interactive experience,” she said.
