Syngenta's NK soybeans yield well in Michigan despite white mold
Vermontville, Michigan, USA
December 11, 2014
Heavy summer rains in central Michigan resulted in white mold issues in soybeans throughout the area. Bill Parsons, a retailer with Citizens L.L.C. and a long-time Syngenta supporter, was impressed with how NK Soybeans yielded despite disease pressures.
“I don’t see anyone out here beating us,” Parsons said. “The NK Soybeans are always the best beans in the programs we have.”
Three varieties in particular – S20-T6, S22-S1 and S24-K2 brands – yielded well even with wet weather and disease. Yields averaged from 40 to 60 bu/A on varying soil types. Parsons’ customers are happy, and that makes him happy too.
