USDA/APHIS is making available for public comment a petition received from the Monsanto Company seeking the deregulation of corn genetically engineered to produce increased ear biomass

Petition to Deregulate Monsanto Company's GE Increased Ear Biomass Corn

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) will soon announce in the Federal Register (FR) the availability of a petition from the Monsanto Company (Monsanto) seeking to deregulate corn genetically engineered for increased ear biomass. The petition is available for a 60-day public review and comment period beginning January 20, 2015.  Comments received on or before March 23, 2015, will be considered.
