Cercobin fungicide from Cheminova receives registration in California

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA
January 23, 2015

California growers may now use CERCOBIN Fungicide to control a broad spectrum of diseases affecting their crops, announces Cheminova, Inc. The California Department of Pesticide Regulation recently approved registration of CERCOBIN, a new formulation of thiophanate-methyl.

CERCOBIN provides preventative and curative disease control. It is a Group 1 fungicide and can be used alone, as a rotational partner or tank-mixed with other fungicides depending on the crop. CERCOBIN controls white mold in dry and edible beans; Cercospora on sugar beets; scab and sooty blotch on apples; brown rot on stone fruit; and botrytis and powdery mildew on labeled crops.

For more information about CERCOBIN, growers are encouraged to contact their local crop protection dealer or check out CERCOBIN on the Cheminova website.
