Oxford Plant Sciences (OPS) is integrating with the Staphyt organisation and reinforces the Passionate Team!

This integration will be quite easy as we have worked together for a long time.

OPS station has been located near Oxford since 1986 covers the whole country. The current team and management will be strengthened from this season on and will be supported by commercial and technical Staphyt’s team in order to go on with its development.
Mike Turner remains the Technical Manager and becomes OPS Manager.

Duncan McBain still works for Staphyt/OPS and brings his expertise in both European and Great Britain experimentation business.

“By joining Staphyt, it is a great opportunity to be more involved in European/global Agrochemical Research Business. We have been working with Staphyt since the beginning” said Mike Turner.

In order to cope with future activities, 2 more agronomists are in the way to join the company and to be trained to Staphyt procedures.

OPS team is made up of 10 engineers and technicians and set up trials in the following topics through its GLP & GEP recognitions:

• arable crops
• field and glasshouse vegetable crops, including seed variety testing
• top fruits (with proper orchard to avoid 5 year destruction requirements)
• flowers
• nurseries
• turf
• weed resistance studies to herbicides.

All studies will be carried out with the same level of professionalism and quality as in any other European countries.
