BASF sends Alberta grower to the slopes with Insure Cereal Embrace the Cold contest

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
May 11, 2015

Today, BASF Canada announced the name of the lucky winner who will hit the ski slopes for two days through the INSURE® Cereal Embrace the Cold contest.

Lee Rees of Craigmyle, Alberta, and a guest of his choice were awarded with a two-day, round-trip Ski Getaway.

“This is great! Because I watched an instructive video about INSURE Cereal, I get to take my wife on a ski trip,” said Rees. “I’ve been using INSURE Cereal on my farm for a few years and have seen great germination among other benefits on my cereals.”

“Through the INSURE Cereal Embrace the Cold contest we were able to educate growers about the AgCelence® benefits of INSURE Cereal and give them the opportunity to win an exciting prize,” said Colin Sebulsky, Brand Manager of Seed Solutions at BASF Canada. “The AgCelence benefits growers are seeing are premium disease control (including those caused by fusarium spp,) increased germination and emergence, increased above and below ground plant biomass and an enhanced ability to manage exposure to minor environmental stresses which all lead to enhanced yield potential.”

To qualify to win, Western Canadian growers visited the BASF AgSolutions® website, watched a video about INSURE Cereal and submitted the Official Contest Entry Form. By entering the contest each entrant received an INSURE Cereal hat and one grower in Alberta took home the grand prize of a Ski Getaway for two.

The contest ran from January 2, 2015 through to February 28, 2015.
