Hazera reinforces its working relations with Balkans countries - Balkans distributors’ first visit ever to Hazera HQ Israel

Israel
June 14, 2015

During the second half of May, a group of owners, managers and employees from companies that represent Hazera in the Balkan region visited Hazera Israel. The objectives of the visit were to reinforce the knowledge of our distributors and bolster their connections with the company, to introduce the distributors to the new Hazera complex and research center in Brurim, to visit the plant in Sderot, and to meet their local Israeli colleagues and partners in person.

The participants who visited Hazera were from Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Cyprus and “Orchi-Plant”. For the majority of the guests, this was their first time in Israel. They were hosted by Mr. Asaf Stern, Regional Sales Manager for the Balkans, and Mr. Adi Kadmon, the professional manager of the Mediterranean CBU, who is in charge of product development activities in the region. Asaf and Adi, together with Mr. Zion Barel, the Mediterranean CBU manager, comprise the team that is active in the Balkans on behalf of Hazera.

One of the goals of the visit was to introduce the guests to the various aspects of the interfaces between their companies and Hazera. The guests visited Hazera’s QC labs (Health, Germination, Genetic purity), as well as the Markers lab in order to understand the extensive testing our seeds undergo prior to their released for sale. They were also introduced to operational aspects such as forecasting, customer service and marketing communication (Marcom).
The visitors met with Hazera’s product managers and breeders that are responsible for the Balkans countries and products, and this was an excellent opportunity to share their needs and demands. This important process will assist us, as a company, in remaining close to our markets and providing our customers with products that are best suited to their needs.

The group also visited Hishtil Ashkelon, a large plant nursery, as well as Hazera’s seed production and packing plant and the tomato demonstration greenhouses (where they received professional tips from Hazera’s agro-technical professionals).

The visit was not all work, and included entertainment – the group visited the Dead Sea and Jerusalem, and were impressed by Israel’s beauty.

We believe this visit will enhance the cooperation between Balkans distributors and Hazera – for the benefit of all of us!
