Germains Seed Technology is pleased to announce the addition of Charles “Charlie” Cain (pictured) to the role of Sales Accounts Manager for the North America Horticulture Commercial Team. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Indiana University. His professional career in the seed industry spans nearly 40 years with extensive experience working with seed companies, growers and seed dealers selling throughout the United States.

Most recently, Charlie was the National Sales Manager for Seed Dynamics, Inc. where he was responsible for relationship management of existing accounts, acquiring new customers, and managing field trials for the last 12 years. Before that, he owned and operated companies providing vegetable seeds and environmentally friendly products to the agricultural industry.

Charlie joins a Germains’ Commercial Team that, when combined, has more than 100 years of horticulture and vegetable seed technology experience. “Bobby Garcia [Sales Accounts Manager], Brooke Murphy [Customer Service Manager] and Stacy Hasegawa [Sales and Marketing Coordinator] have served this industry for many years and Charlie’s distinguished reputation and vast knowledge will be an excellent addition to our experienced and trusted team,” commented Cathy Farr, Business Director, North America.

Charlie’s primary focus will be U.S. Southwest, with his secondary concentration on growing our business in the Pacific Northwest, on the East Coast and in the Canadian Provinces. Bobby Garcia continues to represent Germains in California and Mexico while Brooke Murphy will oversee North America Customer Service and Quality Assurance. Stacy Hasegawa will continue to coordinate marketing and sales efforts from the Gilroy office.

“With Germains completing one of our best years on record [fiscal year ending August 29, 2015], and being able a bring Charlie onto an already accomplished team, there’s a lot of opportunistic expectations and energy taking us into the new fiscal year,” added Farr. Charlie Cain will be based out of Yuma, Arizona.
