Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
December 2, 2015

BASF Canada announces the registration of INSURE® PULSE, the first truly systemic fungicide seed treatment for use on pulses and flax for the 2016 season. INSURE PULSE offers Western Canadian growers premium disease protection with the trusted benefits of AgCelence®.

INSURE PULSE offers the unique mobility properties of XEMIUM®, which enables the active ingredients to spread through the seedling, providing growers with consistent and continuous seed and soil-borne disease control. In addition, INSURE PULSE is the first pulse and flax fungicide seed treatment offered by BASF that provides AgCelence benefits growers trust for maximized pulse production.

“INSURE PULSE is the first pulse seed treatment available that provides consistent and increased emergence, enhanced seedling vigor above and below the ground and an improved ability for the seedling to manage environmental stresses like cold conditions,” said Russell Trischuk, Technical Marketing Specialist, Functional Crop Care. “With the addition of INSURE PULSE, BASF now offers a complete portfolio of products for pulses.”

INSURE PULSE combines three active ingredients, XEMIUM, Pyraclostrobin and Metalaxyl and is available for use on field peas, lentils, chickpeas, dry beans, faba beans and flax.
