SeedWay LLC announces new Registered Seed Technologist

Hall, New York, USA
December 16, 2015

Jason Perrault, SEEDWAY Seed Lab Manager recently earned the title of Registered Seed Technologist (RST) after passing the RST certifying test from the Association of Official Seed Analysis and the Society of Commercial Seed Technologist (AOSA/SCST).

After working in the SEEDWAY seed lab for ten years as seed lab manager, Perrault and his staff check each lot of farm, turf and vegetable seed for germination and purity testing. In total, the lab performs more than 15,000 tests and analyses annually in order to provide SEEDWAY customers with product of the highest quality.

The RST test consists of five parts: purity written, purity practical, seed identification, germination written and germination practical.

“Jason is an important member of SEEDWAY,” said John Bozeman, Chief Operating Officer. “It gives credibility to the SEEDWAY seed lab. Jason was already doing all
of the duties of seed analysis. Getting his RST just gives him credentials to go with the work he performs.”

Headquartered in Hall, NY, SEEDWAY, LLC maintains locations in Hall, Trumansburg, Lysander and Mecklenburg, NY, Shoreham, VT, Mifflinburg, Emmaus and Elizabethtown, PA, Pelham, GA and Lakeland, FL. A full-line seed company, marketing farm and turf seed in fourteen Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states and vegetable seed from the US Rocky Mountains to the east coast and in the southern provinces of Canada, SEEDWAY, LLC is a subsidiary of GROWMARK, Inc., Bloomington, IL.
