Seed Research Equipment Solutions (SRES) and Effective Farming Solutions (EFS) announce joint venture in Africa

South Hutchinson, Kansas, USA
December 23, 2015

Seed Research Equipment Solutions (SRES) and Effective Farming Solutions (EFS) announced that they will enter a joint venture to build planters that are specifically designed for Africa with SRES Controls.  EFS will manage the sales and service of SRES planters in Africa.  This collaboration will combine the efforts of two agricultural companies to grow our customer base in Africa and our international relations by partnering with EFS.

EFS will be the first company to provide in-country support for Africa agriculture research.  Stacy Unruh, SRES owner, states “EFS will be on the ground floor as research in Africa continues to grow.  EFS will provide in-country sales and service after the sale as this industry grows.”  EFS forward-thinking and progressive approach is a well matched partnership for SRES.  This joint venture gives agricultural researchers the opportunity to purchase SRES equipment that will be built at EFS in Africa with the SRES controls that are customized for African conditions.  This will provide a local avenue for researchers and saves them in shipping expenses and lead time.  Our customers will benefit with in-country service because they are no longer affected by the 8 hour time difference and parts will be available via EFS.

When asked why EFS chose SRES, “In our view, SRES has been built on the same values on which we as EFS pride ourselves on and strive for by providing solutions and services for its customer’s needs.  Based on the demands from seed companies to assist with their equipment needs, the decision was made to enter into a partnership with a company that could supply innovative equipment” said Karl Erichsen, EFS owner.  “SRES innovative products partnered with our local support and precision planting knowledge will take research agriculture equipment to the next level, enhancing the sustainability in the specialized market.”
