Barenbrug USA appoints Britton ‘Bo’ Lacy as Product Manager for the professional turf sector

Barenbrug USA has appointed Britton ‘Bo’ Lacy, CGCS as the Product Manager for the professional turf sector. Starting September 1, Lacy will train alongside current Product Manager, John Rector as Rector moves into retirement. As Product Manager, Lacy will provide technical and sales support for Barenbrug USA’s network of professional turf distributors. Additionally, he will be heavily involved in research and development to continue Barenbrug’s goal of bringing new and innovative products to the U.S. turf market. Sales Manager, Jay Ingham comments, “We are very excited to welcome Bo to Barenbrug. He brings a vast knowledge of the industry along with an understanding and history of the grass seed business.”

Growing up on a family farm, Lacy has been involved in many facets of agriculture including harvesting, cleaning and selling grass seed. Prior to joining Barenbrug, Lacy worked for Tri-City Country Club as General Manager and Golf Course Superintendent. Lacy comments, “I have a great passion for turfgrass. I am excited to join a company that shares the same passion and I look forward to working with the professional turf team.”

Lacy received a Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Management from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from George Fox University. Since graduating, he has been active in several associations including; the Inland Empire Golf Course Superintendents Association (past president), Northwest Turfgrass Association and the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America.

Lacy will be relocating to the Willamette Valley with his wife and children. When not working Lacy enjoys playing golf, softball and baseball, spending time with family and woodworking.
