International interest in NutriFibre and Yellow Jacket at EuroTier 2016

The Netherlands
November 28, 2016

From the 15th until the 18th of November 2016, Barenbrug attended the EuroTier exhibition in Hannover, Germany. The Barenbrug team representing our company consisted of colleagues from six European nationalities. The international character of the public was even bigger: a striking number of 44 different nationalities visited our stand!

We noticed a great interest in the innovations which were showcased: NutriFibre and Yellow Jacket. People in the field from not only Germany, but from all over the world wanted to know more about these innovations and their benefits. We were also pleased to hear about the positive experiences with our NutriFibre and Yellow Jacket products. The biggest benefits according to dairy farmers? NutriFibre was praised because of its high yielding and drought tolerance. Yellow Jacket coating makes growing lucerne a lot easier, because of its enhanced germination and establishment.

We want to thank all visitors and everyone who has helped to make EuroTier 2016 a great success!

About the innovations

NutriFibre is the new grass technology for silage. The foundation of NutriFibre is soft-leaf tall fescue, a development stemming from the Royal Barenbrug Group's international breeding programme 'Grass for highly productive dairy cattle'. NutriFibre technology combines mineral efficiency, high protein production, digestible, effective fibre-rich cell walls and rooting intensity. Yellow Jacket Rhizobium coating increases the amount of active Rhizobia bacteria in de soil, as closely as possible to the seedling, for optimum effectiveness. Moreover, the activity of these bacteria is guaranteed for at least six months in storage. This makes it possible to store excess seed for the next sowing period.
