Dr.
Roberta Cook
Dr. Roberta Cook is a Cooperative Extension
Marketing Economist in the Department of Agricultural
and Resource Economics at University of California,
Davis.
As an extension specialist, Dr. Cook conducts an applied
research and industry outreach program focusing on the
marketing and international trade of fresh fruits and
vegetables, and food distribution. Several projects Dr.
Cook has recently been involved in include:

Organizer - UCD Fresh Produce Marketing Short Course

Research on the development of a greenhouse tomato
industry in North America and its impact on the
fresh field tomato industry

Research on the impact of the California Leafy Green
Marketing Agreement on food safety practices and
costs in the leafy green industry
In
addition, Dr. Cook serves on many boards of directors,
such as Naturipe Farms, Ocean Mist Farms, and the
Seminis Advisory Council. She is active on committees of
the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) and works
with the Produce Marketing Association Foundation for
Industry Talent, such as by serving as the UCD Faculty
Director for the Pack Family and PMA Career Pathways
Fund scholarship program. Since 2003 she has served as
the Faculty Director of the California Agribusiness
Executive Seminar (http://www.caagribizexec.com/),
a program co-sponsored by the Department of Agricultural
and Resource Economics and Wells Fargo Bank.
