Crop protection assistance now at your fingertips

Syngenta Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the release of a new mobile application for Western Canadian growers and retailers which will help make crop protection decisions easier and more convenient than ever. The application, which can be found at http://m.syngenta.ca/bbapp, includes information about the Syngenta portfolio of products and their uses on crops and pests.

“Digital technology is an increasingly important tool for growers allowing them to stay connected and access information as they need it,” stated Kate Mercer, Digital Communications Specialist with Syngenta Canada Inc. “Syngenta has responded to this need with a new mobile app. that allows them to readily determine the right crop protection solution for their specific needs. There are many different ways users can interact with the app. to find the technical information they need, when they need it, wherever they are.”

The new Syngenta mobile application, first being made available for BlackBerry® smartphone users, is simple and easy to use. With a few quick clicks, users are able to:

• Search for information by product name, by crop, by crop and pest, or by tank-mix.
• Click through results for technical details including pests controlled, labeled crops, application timing, use rates, application directions, and mixing order.
• Search for tank-mix options, with other registered Syngenta products, or by crop or pests in the field.

“Mobile applications allow us to update the data regularly, ensuring that users have access to the most current information available to make informed decisions for their farms,” concluded Mercer.

The mobile application for Syngenta products registered in Eastern Canada will be available later this year.
