The staff at MWSS takes a
diagnostic approach to vegetable seed testing. Whenever a
seed quality issue arises, we try to describe the abnormal
symptoms, identify the pathogen, or determine the viability of ungerminated seeds.
Our facilities include two alternating
temperature walk-in rooms, five constant temperature rooms and nine
alternating temperature chambers; all computer monitored with a
Lab-Tech™ temperature monitoring software system.
We have selected germination equipment that provides precise temperature control and sharp
temperature alternations to ensure optimum germination regimes.
Our staff includes four
RSTs. We are well versed in testing a wide variety of vegetable
species. Our highest volume species are sweetcorn, garden
beans, tomatos, onions, peppers and vine crops.
