Blue Thunder is a very grower friendly cabbage that performs well
under a wide variety of growing conditions. Wrapper leaf protection
is excellent allowing for consistently high yields of beautiful,
high quality cabbage. Blue Thunder is the choice for the mid-season
class.
This Harris Moran variety is currently very popular in Texas and
is adapted to Florida, Colorado, the Mid-Atlantic region and Mexican
production areas. Blue Thunder’s vigorous plant is resistant to
Fusarium Yellows, tolerant to Black Rot and Tipburn, and performs
well under high temperatures.
Blue Thunder is a large upright plant with excellent wrappers, a
round head, and is heavier than many competitive varieties. Uniform
size, shape and beautiful blue-green color provide excellent
consumer appeal to the fresh market. |
