In the last five years, Harris
Moran researchers have put very high emphasis on post harvest fruit evaluation.
A system has been designed that allows Harris Moran
researchers to select clearly superior varieties and breeding lines.
Working closely with researchers at the
University of California at Davis and Texas A&M University, this system looks closely
at western shippers, honeydews, and eastern shippers for a variety of post harvest
characteristics, including:
