Yields and quality you can trust.

Advantages

  • Large frame
  • Excellent yield potential
  • Good head weight and large size
  • Excellent color

Desert Storm has proven to be one of the best icebergs on the market today. This variety has been a consistently vigorous, large-headed iceberg lettuce with improved dark green color. Desert Storm has shown the ability to out-yield the field standards for head weight and cartons per acre. With glossy leaves and a smooth flat butt, Desert Storm has the look as well as the yield. Desert Storm was developed for planting between the end of September and the middle of October, and again for planting around November 20-30th, in desert California and Arizona. This variety has resistance to Downy Mildew (pathotype 3), Lettuce Mosaic Virus and good tolerance to Big Vein.
