This species – Durvillaea potatorum – has the highest alginic acid content of any brown kelp species in the world.

To our knowledge, Seasol is the only Australian seaweed extract to have the essential auxins/cytokinins (plant growth stimulants) scientifically identified, and this work, conducted by the Australian National University, has been published and is recognized worldwide.
