Garst Seed Company
officials announce the extension of the January "cash discount"
pay period. With this extension, Garst customers now have until
January 31, 2003 to take advantage of a seven percent (7 %) cash
discount on their purchase of Garst, AgriPro, Gutwein and PSA
brand seed products.
With the 2002/2003 Holiday Season falling in the middle of
the week, many growers have been faced with a shorter "window"
in which to make their seed purchase decisions. "We want to make
sure that all of our current customers, as well as those who may
be purchasing Garst products for the first time, are able to
take advantage of this extended cash discount period," explains
Lori Thomas, marketing manager for Garst Seed Company.
"Farming is becoming more and more complicated every year,
and with some of the uncertainty surrounding the LDP and the new
Farm Bill, we’re seeing customers waiting longer before making
their seed purchase decisions," notes Thomas. "With these
factors in place, extending the cash discount date until January
31st will allow our customers a few more days to
finalize their 2003 seed purchases with their ProSeller and take
advantage of this extended cash discount period."
However, for those not interested in or unable to take
advantage of the cash discounts purchase dates, Thomas reminds
growers of Garst’s Gold Plan financing program for their seed
purchases. "The Garst Gold Plan financing is a deferred payment
option that can help our customers manage their cash flow,"
notes Thomas. "Best of all, it’s interest free on all accounts
paid in full by November 15th of the same year."
