UC Davis cleared of wrongdoing in biotech seed shipments

The United States Department of Agriculture fined Seminis and The Scotts Co. a total of $5,625 for improper shipments of biotech-enhanced tomato seeds to the University of California, Davis over the course of seven years.

UC Davis was not fined and has implemented new protocols to ensure enhanced seeds are labeled as such when it receives seed shipments.
