New greenhouse facility means increased capacity for Bacterial Fruit Blotch testing at STA Laboratories
Longmont, Colorado
February 18, 2004

Recently, STA Laboratories completed the construction of 12,000 square feet of environmentally controlled greenhouse space.

“The new greenhouses, which are located at our facility in Longmont, Colorado, will greatly increase our ability to cycle through seed samples for Bacterial Fruit Blotch (BFB) testing”, says Jim Davis-Lowery, Sales and Marketing Coordinator for STA Laboratories.

He says “This increase in our capacity to place lots into testing as well as to more efficiently process them will mean our clients get their results much more quickly”.

STA believes that being a service company means that they are obligated to constantly strive to look for ways to improve their service without any sacrifice to the quality of the services provided. It is for that reason STA decided to build additional greenhouse space to keep up with the ever growing demand for BFB testing.

“A delay in our ability to get samples into the testing process would not be an attractive option for a client considering us as their testing partner”, says Jim, “Therefore, we are excited that we have succeeded in making the changes necessary to keep our service at the highest level possible”.
