HGCA is currently planning the research programme for 2006/2007.

Developing industrial uses for cereals and oilseeds is currently a very hot topic and one which HGCA is treating as a priority.

A call has just been launched inviting teams involving researchers and industry representatives to submit concept notes proposing R&D projects which seek to develop new uses for Cereals and Oilseeds.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications relating to home compostable biopolymers and developing uses for the co-products of biofuel production. We will publicise funded projects in a later edition of Crop Research News.
