Latham Hybrids hires Jamie Carda as product manager for its five-state marketing area

Latham Hi-Tech Hybrids announces it has hired Jamie Carda of Humboldt, Iowa, as product manager for its five-state marketing area. Carda’s responsibilities include serving on the company’s management team and working closely with company founders to aggressively grow the young seed company, selecting the best new products to become part of the company’s corn hybrid portfolio, as well as helping support sales and marketing functions.

“Jamie is a seasoned professional with experience in corn research, agronomy and product selection,” says John Latham, president, Latham Hi-Tech Hybrids. “He has reputation for having great technical corn knowledge, as well as for being an innovative problem solver. Jamie’s background will be of great benefit to our dealers and customers. He will help our customers harness the newest genetics and traits to make them more profitable.”

Carda has 21 years of experience in the seed industry. He most recently served as regional sales manager for Pfister Hybrid Seed of El Paso, Ill., and as corn product manager plus regional sales and marketing manager for AgVenture ProfiSeed. He also has worked for Gold-Eagle Cooperative in Goldfield, Iowa, and has 14 years of experience with Golden Harvest Seeds in Iowa and Nebraska.

A native of Elkhorn, Neb., Carda holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with an emphasis in sales and marketing, from the University of Nebraska – Kearney. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, with an emphasis in farm management, from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
