Illinois Foundation Seeds, Inc. completes management transition

Effective October 1, 2007, Illinois Foundation Seeds, Inc. (IFSI), a developer, producer and licensor of Dent and Sweet Corn products based in Tolono, Illinois has completed the merger of its wholly owned subsidiary Seed Genetics, Inc. into the parent company and completed the transition of the management team.

On this same date, Dale Cochran retired as Chief Executive Officer and completed over forty two years of service in the Dent and Sweet Corn Industries, all with IFSI. He will be replaced as CEO by John Hiser. John was employed by IFSI in 1978 and served most recently as its President. He will be responsible for the combined success of the newly formed Field Crop and Sweet Corn Divisions.

Leading the Field Crop Division will be its President, Tim Johnson. Tim served most recently as President of Seed Genetics, Inc. and Vice-President of IFSI. He will provide experienced leadership in all aspects of the IFSI field crop endeavors which include the SGI Brand of dent corn products, research, production and brokerage. Tim is active in various associations addressing important issues for the industry.

Pat Mosely has been appointed as President of the Sweet Corn Division. Pat was most recently the Director of Sweet Corn Operations. While continuing to lead the research program, Pat is responsible for the Division which includes the Xtra-Tender and Xtra-Sweet brands as well as supply management and industry contacts.

George Terry will serve as the Chief Financial Officer. George began his career at IFSI in 1976 and most recently served as the Director of Business Operations. He is responsible for the accurate tracking and reporting of the company’s financial information as well as leading the administrative needs.

Utilizing eight research stations for product development and state of the art techniques for introgression of important traits, IFSI continues to supply products and services helping seed companies achieve success.
