Wyffels Hybrids recently announced new sales managers for districts in southern Illinois, eastern Iowa and western Iowa. John V. Myers of Stonington, Illinois will oversee Coles, Douglas, Edgar and Moultrie counties in southeastern Illinois; Dru Weidner of Davenport, Iowa, will be responsible for Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Muscatine and Scott counties in eastern Iowa; and Matt Conlon of Spencer, Iowa, will manage Clay, Dickinson, O’Brien and Osceola counties in western Iowa.

In their new positions, Conlon, Myers and Weidner will focus on customer relationships and providing leadership and training for the seed representative network within their respective districts.

Conlon brings broad knowledge of the seed business to his employment with Wyffels, having held prior positions in inventory distribution management and territory sales. Conlon received a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from South Dakota State University and has a solid understanding of the needs of northwest Iowa corn producers.

Prior to joining Wyffels, Myers served as a district sales manager for four years with another seed company. A lifelong native of Christian county, Myers brings more than 18 years of sales experience in the seed industry. He is also a certified crop advisor with expertise in helping corn growers achieve their production goals.

Weidner comes to Wyffels Hybrids with a well-rounded background within the agriculture industry. He most recently served as an ag banker/relationship manager for Wells Fargo Bank in Geneseo, Ill. Weidner has also served as a territory manager for Cargill Animal Nutrition and a commodity marketing manager for DeLong Company in Clinton, Wis. He received a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Iowa State University.

“These men have extensive experience in the seed and agriculture industry that make them excellent additions to the Wyffels sales force,” said Brian Humphries, vice president of sales and marketing at Wyffels Hybrids. “We are certain their knowledge and passion for agriculture, coupled with their diverse backgrounds, will bring our commitment of unmatched customer care to life for growers in their territories.”

Wyffels Hybrids, headquartered in Geneseo, Illinois, is one of the nation’s largest independent seed corn companies. Focusing strictly on developing and marketing elite corn hybrids, the company is dedicated to providing corn growers in Illinois, Iowa, southern Wisconsin and the Ohio River Valley with exceptional products, the latest agronomic information, and unmatched customer service and product support.
