Syngenta Crop Protection Canada, Inc. is pleased to announce
the registration of Broadband™, the first pre-formulated
herbicide to deliver grass and broadleaf weed control in both
spring wheat and barley.
Traditionally, cereal producers use tank mix partners or
co-packs to combine herbicides to achieve broad-spectrum
protection against broadleaf and grass weeds. Broadband
represents a new class of herbicides that offer dual protection
without the complicated and time consuming process of selecting
and mixing products. Adding to the convenience of this new
herbicide, Broadband has a wide window for application and can
be applied from the one leaf stage to the flag leaf stage of the
crop.
“In developing Broadband, Syngenta wanted to take the complexity
out of cereal weed control while maintaining the uncompromising
performance of products tried and trusted, such as Axial®,” says
Dean Hironaka, Crop Manager, Cereals, Syngenta Crop Protection,
Canada, Inc. “Broadband delivers the best available grass and
broadleaf weed control for all spring wheat and barley crops on
the farm with excellent crop tolerance. Essentially, Broadband
delivers performance and flexibility without complexity.”
Broadband will be available for the 2009 growing season in
convenient 40 acre and 320 acre packaging sizes.
