Wyffels Hybrids is pleased to announce the introduction of
12 new corn hybrids to its lineup. In the last two years,
Wyffels Hybrids released more than 60 new hybrids — all with
advanced genetics.
“We have a full lineup of corn hybrids with new genetic families
and expanded trait offerings that will lead to the most complete
lineup in Wyffels’ 60-year history,” says Fritz Behr, vice
president of research, Wyffels Hybrids. “We’re very excited
about the yields and agronomic attributes we see in this new
class. The new hybrids have proven to be outstanding in
extensive company testing.”
Newly announced corn hybrids
Offering an early maturity of 100 days, W2329 is stacked
with Agrisure® 3000GT technology. This new hybrid has
consistent, high-yield performance across many soil types, and
amazing roots give this hybrid staying power in tough growing
conditions. W2329 has phenomenal performance on rotated acres,
conventional or no-till ground.
Featuring solid roots and stalks, W2681 is a 101 day
hybrid with YieldGard VT Triple™ technology. This new hybrid has
great western movement; stable, high-yield performance for its
maturity; rapid drydown for excellent yield-to-moisture ratio
and is an excellent choice for continuous corn.
W3629, a 104 day hybrid, is stacked with Agrisure 3000GT
technology featuring strong roots and dependable stalks. This
hybrid has impressive late season plant health, outstanding
top-end yields, and is an excellent choice for continuous corn
acres.
W6834 is stacked with Herculex® EXTRA providing powerful
above-and below-ground insect protection, in addition to
LibertyLink® technology for expanded herbicide management
options. This 111 day hybrid is a solid-performing hybrid with
excellent roots, stalks and drought tolerance. W6834 has very
good tolerance to gray leaf spot and anthracnose.
A reliable yield leader for its maturity, W7251 is a 112
day hybrid with YieldGard VT Triple technology. Solid agronomics
and good plant health, W7251 has excellent roots, stalks and
standability. This hybrid is great for rotated or continuous
corn acres. Also released is W7250, a 111 day Roundup Ready®
Corn 2 hybrid, which is an excellent choice for refuge acres.
Demonstrating consistent high yields with amazing ear flex,
W8681 is a full season hybrid with a 116 day relative
maturity. Stacked with YieldGard VT Triple technology, this
hybrid has excellent stalk and root strength, superior leaf
disease tolerance, phenomenal staygreen and late-season plant
integrity. Also released is W8680, a 115 day non-GMO hybrid.
Wyffels is introducing new trait options for the W5155
genetic family. W5159 is a 108 day hybrid with Agrisure 3000GT
technology. Demonstrating impressive top-end yield potential and
superior agronomics, this hybrid has exceptional roots and
remarkable late-season plant integrity. With wide adaptability
to soil types, W5159 is highly recommended for continuous corn
acres. Also released is W5150, a 107 day non-GMO hybrid.
New hybrids released in Roundup Ready Corn 2 versions
Wyffels Hybrids has released three new Roundup Ready Corn 2
hybrids that will provide growers a variety of options for their
refuge acres. W5640 is a 108 day Roundup Ready version of
W5641 with strong stalks and excellent drydown. W7250 is
a 111 day Roundup Ready version of W7251 featuring excellent
plant health. W9120 is a 116 day Roundup Ready version of
W9121 with excellent root and stalk strength.
