East West Seed Indonesia (a joined
venture of East West International and Enza Zaden from Holland)
turned the switch on for using ABS on the 15th of January.
The implementation started in fall 2006 with the goal to go Live
in January 2007. A team of experienced people was put on the
project with the help of the consultantancy company GlobalWeb
from Bangkok. GlobalWeb who is certified for implementing ABS
also assisted in setting up the system with East West Seed
Bangkok and the Philippines. So far 5 sites and 4 companies are
now working with ABS, with more to come.
Ultimately all the East West Seed companies will be using the
same system running on one single database stationed in Bangkok.
