AgriBioTech Inc. to distribute proprietary forage products on the Internet
ABT to be among the first national seed brands to sell seed through DirectAg.com

AgriBioTech, Inc. announced today that the Company will be among the first to sell a national seed brand via the Internet on the Web site of DirectAg.com, a new agriculture Web site and "e-commerce'' business.

The DirectAg.com Web site will be up and operating beginning Aug. 2, 1999. ABT will be the leading forage seed company and brand featured on the site.

"We are constantly looking for new ways to satisfy customers and to better market our products,'' said Kenneth Budd, ABT president and chief operating officer (COO) and head of retail marketing and operations. "We believe the Internet is and will be an increasingly important way of serving farmers and ranchers.''

"ABT is the largest forage seed company in the industry,'' said Keith Flynn, ABT forage business unit director, "and we look forward to working with DirectAg.com to offer the industry's best forage product line on the Internet. We will sell our elite, proprietary alfalfa varieties, forages (grasses and clovers) and corn/silage on the site. Beginning Aug. 2, 1999, DirectAg.com will launch agriculture's first e-business to provide producers with a broad offering of information, products and services needed to successfully
farm today. DirectAg.com's Web site will provide a forum for American
farmers to make knowledgeable decisions when they look to buy leading brands of agricultural
products and services.

In addition to its e-commerce capabilities, DirectAg.com offers producers a personalized
knowledge-building center called "My DirectAg,'' timely ag news and information, comprehensive product information, chat rooms and bulletin boards. DirectAg.com is a St. Paul, Minn.-based e-business formed and managed by former seed and agribusiness executives.
