Limagrain Genetics Corp. announced today that Ron Bell
has accepted the newly created position of Corn Research Director, effective immediately.
Based in Lebanon, IN, Ron Bell will report to Bernard Garet, VP-Research and
Development. This position includes the direct supervision of the Corn Breeders Team and
the Corn Strip Test Team. Limagrain Genetics North American corn breeding station
locations are: Kirkland,IL Champaign,IL Iowa City,IA Wilmar,MN
Lebanon,IN - Chatham,ONT and Puerto Rico. Limagrain Genetics Breeders and technicians work
towards a common goal of improving existing germplasm, developing new lines, and finding
answers for the many challenges producers face today.
Ron received his Masters degree in Genetics & Plant Pathology at Purdue University
and began his career as a corn breeder for NC+ Hybrids. Ron then joined Callahan
Enterprises in 1979 as Research Director, all crops and then became the Soybean Research
Director for Limagrain Genetics Research in 1994.
