These releases are a result of
our rapidly expanding research operation and product development
system. The company's long term commitment to inbred development
has produced an ever expanding base of unique germplasm from
which to create innovative new hybrids. The coming year will see
the expansion of the fresh market tomato program with the
release of indeterminate cluster tomatoes, indeterminate
beefsteak tomatoes, indeterminate cocktail & cherry tomatoes,
and open field dual purpose tomatoes.
The company has also expanded its product licensing program. New
varieties have been licensed to other seed companies in the
following product types:
1. Sweet Pepper
2. Dual purpose tomato
3. Multivirus resistant zucchini
4. Melon
5. Hot Pepper
Danson Seed will enter 2002 with new research and development
programs in place for seedless & diploid watermelon,
parthenocarpic & open field cucumber, and eggplant. These new
programs are a natural expansion and build upon our prior
successes breeding these crops.
The company will open a new product development center and trial
grounds in Fillmore, California in the spring. This will allow
the company to expand its trialing program and begin development
of a cultural practice research program for both greenhouse and
open field varieties. For more information on the company's
programs contact Michael Nadel at +1 310 838-7675 or
