The Accounting-Administrative Internship is available to students who are pursuing a degree in Accounting and have a minimum 3.0 GPA . You must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties include assisting with Accounts Receivable, Credit Applications, Accounts Payable, Expense Reporting, and Fiscal Year End Audit preparation.
You must be able to work 20 hours per week at least from June through August to be eligible for this internship.
The Responsibilities and Duties for the position:
- Filing and scanning documents
- AR Aging Review
- Assist with Customer Credit Application/References process
- Sort Vendor & Customer payments
- Process customer checks (cash receipts)
- Assist with administration of Expense Reports and creation of Expense Analysis Reports
- Assist with Travel Expense Analysis and Business Expense Policy Compliance (Internal Controls)
- Assist with Accounts Payable – Vendor Check Runs
- Assist Chief Accountant with preparing Fiscal Year End Auditor Package
- Assist Chief Accountant with Accounting projects as needed
- Provide recruitment and HR support as needed
- Assist with other admin projects, receptionist and general clerical duties as needed
Requirements
- Student seeking Accounting Degree with minimum 3.0 GPA (Junior or Senior year)
- Experience with Word, Excel and general computer experience
- Strong attention to detail and expert in tasks follow up
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to be flexible
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team driven environment
- Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality
