Sales & Product Development Manager, Middle East & North Africa

Location: Middle East, North Aftrica, or outside the region but with convenient access to the region

JOB TITLE: Middle East & North Africa Sales and Product Development Manager
DATE: March 15, 2014
REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for customer management, commercial sales, product development, product trialing, selection, advancement, commercialization, pricing, forecasting and marketing in the region of Middle East & North Africa.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage customer relations, contracts, sales, delivery and product development.
  2. Collect and analyze current market information and develop sales and product development plans for Magnum hybrids.
  3. Coordinate and facilitate the placement of product trials, evaluations, and reporting.
  4. Work directly with Magnum Seed General Manager, Account Administrator, Shipping Manager, Product Development Administrator and Production Manager in the contracting, production, and shipping of commercial and experimental hybrids.
  5. Work closely with European Sales and Product Development Managers.
  6. Travel to the Middle East, North Africa. Travel to Turkey and Greece and Eastern Europe.
  7. Interact with Magnum Breeders located in California and Italy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Able to manage multiple activities to meet deadlines.
  2. Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, French and Arabic helpful.
  3. Able to travel to all countries within the region.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Business with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the seed industry in Sales or Product Management.

JOB LOCATION:

Located either within the region or outside the region with convenient access to travel to the region.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to interact with in-house and outside professionals and individuals to build solid customer sales and product line development.
